10 September 2024: Forum on Sex and Gender in Medical education, Research and Clinical practice
The event promises to offer insightful exchanges and interactive sessions as well as discussions on future collaboration. It marks the end of the swissuniversities funding period in the context of program P-7 "Diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities (equity) in the development of higher education institutions".
A wide audience is expected: healthcare professionals, medical educators, researchers, students, university representatives, medical and healthcare societies, politicians, media, and anyone interested in the topic.
Morning session:
- Conference on the importance of integrating sex and gender dimensions in health and medical education
- Presentation of the outcomes from three pioneering projects* on incorporating sex and gender in the curriculum
- A roundtable discussion to exchange ideas on the benefits of the project and future developments
Afternoon session:
- Interactive and practical workshops for implementing gender perspectives in medical practice, education and research
- A conference offering a global perspective on gender mainstreaming, compared with international practices

After the Forum, we will hold the Constitutive Assembly of the Swiss Gender Health Network, at which we will officially establish the association, approve its statutes, and elect its governing bodies (committee, auditor, etc.). Join us in launching this new association!
