Job Offer for PHD Student (80-100%)

Work for the Diverse Brains project, located at Unisanté, Lausanne!

The Diverse Brains project, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, aims to study how sex/gender, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and geography shape brain health over the life course.

Current neuroimaging research relies heavily on Western, predominantly White, and socioeconomically advantaged participants, creating significant gaps in knowledge and equity.

This project will combine large-scale international datasets and new portable MRI technologies to build a more inclusive understanding of brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease risk by incorporating global brain imaging data from underrepresented populations.

The PhD candidate will also have the opportunity to conduct a research stay at University College London with Dr. James Cole, focusing on portable Hyperfine MRI data collection.
