Closing conference of the program P-7 “Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunities in University Development”

7th and 8th November 2024, Bern Kornhausforum

swissuniversities and the Think Tank Gender & Diversity invite you to the closing conference of the PgB program P-7 (2021-2024):

Part I – swissuniversities
(morning, Nov. 7th)

The conference will open Thursday morning by swissuniversities on a global perspective. The political and institutional importance will be at the heart of the discussion.

Part II - Implementing knowledges, dismantling obstacles
(afternoon, Nov 7th and Nov 8th)

Is the Swiss higher education landscape diverse and inclusive and what obstacles to it persist? The continuous development and transfer of knowledge from research, diversity work, personal experience and political engagement enable the recognition and dismantling of obstacles and their intersectional interaction in the context of higher education. The various methods, analyses and tools developed by the P-7 cooperation projects over the past four years will be brought together and discussed from an intersectional perspective.

The Think Tank Gender & Diversity organises the presentation of the project results and the sharing of knowledge and implementation expertise. The instrument of cooperation projects, which is used to further promote equality and diversity work at Swiss universities, is discussed with regard to important impulses for the reduction of obstacles as well as with regard to problems that arise. An important point of discussion is the sustainable anchoring and broad implementation of the good practices developed in the projects within the Swiss higher education landscape.

Save the date and thank you for sharing the information. The program and invitation to register will follow in spring.
